On October 8, Sanne, Ingrid and Youri took our customers through the latest developments and upcoming innovations in the field of Social Intranet during the Social Webinar 2024. While enjoying a Groningen cake, important themes such as AI, communication and the future roadmap were discussed. Due to the many positive reactions, we would like to share the highlights of this inspiring afternoon!
Roadmap: Latest developments and innovations
Product Owner Youri took you through Embrace Social's most important new developments. The roadmap included innovations such as the AI assistant (more on this later!) and the Content Quality Dashboard, which allows editors to structurally manage the quality of knowledge bases. We also looked back on recent features, such as the completely renewed application launcher and improvements in the CMS, including smart labels and workflows. See more new CMS developments here.
AI Assistant
During one of the break-out sessions, Youri introduced the AI assistant. This smart tool helps you write faster and more efficiently by making texts longer, shorter or (in) more formal with one click. It also allows you to easily make texts digitally accessible, which improves the quality of knowledge bases. In addition, AI contributes to better search functionality and article summarization. Finally, Youri explained how AI helps developers write and test code faster and more accurately, making new functionalities available to our customers even faster.
Communication and adoption
Activating users, involving management and effectively managing an Embrace platform: these are familiar challenges in running a social intranet, as Sanne explained during the break-out session. She shared theory, tips, and practical examples from other organizations on how to address these challenges. The most important tip? Position your Embrace platform as the primary communication channel and organize community management and management with relevant stakeholders such as IT and HRM. In addition, gather key users or ambassadors from within the organization — management and community management is never a one-man job!

User Day | Aareon Facilitor
In addition to our own webinar and the upcoming User Day, we also like to attend events held by our partners. A day later, we attended Aareon Facilitor's FUN day at the Kröller-Müller Museum. Here, Rutger and Edwin spoke about social intranet, AI, data analytics from Blue Mountain and the integration with Facilitor's powerful facility software. It was an inspiring afternoon — how could it be otherwise, among the beautiful works of art by Van Gogh and Mondrian? Thanks for the hospitality!
